"Back in the late 70s and early 80s I had one of these. It was perfect for learning with, and it sounded better to me than the Big Muff - I dont know why, but I demoed both before I bought this one. I used mine to death - literally. By the end, it was held together with duct tape; you literally had to unscrew the entire device to change the battery, and the wiring was not separated from the innards at all. Ive looked for another one for all of these years without finding one. If you own one, you are lucky. GREAT unit."

"I bought one of those after Id been playing about 6 months probably. Bought it at a cheesy local dimestore called Grandpa Pidgeons for $35. I loved that sucka. The vintage EH stuff was just so... perfect. Cheap, rugged and effective."

"I bought one of these a couple years ago from a music store owner who had it on the shelf for 30 years! And it sounds killer! So simple. Inside is (op amp) chip cicuitry. Doesnt really sound like a Big Muff. Its more civilized. Chords sound real good. Very big and full while maintaining the sound of the wood of the guitar."
