"I got this for $15 used in 1978. It has been through hell. I used to play really loud and this guy would feed back right through the case, no guitar needed, it was so microphonic. So I clipped the pots off the board and soldered stranded wire leads to them and just wrapped the board in foam since there was nothing holding it to the case but the switch. That helped. Then I had trouble with poor signal going to the rest of my pedals, so it got a source-follower output buffer. Then it got an LED and I had to buy a cobalt drill bit to drill through that stainless steel case. New respect for how tough they really are. I used this in The Motels and most bands after that, it still works. Now it even has sockets for the transistors so I can swap different ones in and out. The Fuzz That Wouldnt Die!"
